tooth!!

last night i was encouraging nissa to walk (gulp) by holding her arms up in a standing position. (why, again, was this the first time i was doing this and adam has been doing so for what he makes out to be forever!?!?!?!) i was sitting on the floor, so my arms weren't that high and she proceeded to chomp on my finger. aside from having a startlingly strong bite, i noticed a bit more texture than the usual gummy softness. sure enough, there was a sliver of a tooth in there!

i thought she'd be a toothless wonder for ever!!

she had a fever last tuesday and wednesday evening, but nothing since. she's been somewhat cranky, but nothing too unexplainable, given some recent sleeping shifts. this explains everything.

now i'll get to find out first hand if a teething baby can nurse without too much discomfort for mom. fingers crossed. . .
