dinner was similar in that i had cut off the kernels of corn off the cob for nissa's ease. instead, she insisted on eating from my ear of corn. i took the cut corn off her plate and let her enjoy the ear. she's eating, and veggies at that, so i can't argue. she ate some steak too, so it was a fairly well-rounded meal.
we pulled out the new pool yesterday and although adam dubbed it "a colossal waste of water" nissa and i still had a good time. she spent most of the time walking in circles along the wall, since the water was too deep to do anything besides standing. she'd blow bubbles, much to adam's delight, and would even float on her back a little if she was laying back on my chest. we're working on kicking from a prone position, but that's a little trickier. she likes to swim "sweem" in the "pool!" but that usually meant leaning forward and waving her arms around. cute, but needs a lot of work. nissa fell "in" a couple of times, but i tried to keep it down to a minimum. fortunately, it didn't scare her that bad, since she insisted on continuing right where she left off each and every time. adam watched us for a little while, but after two busy days at the beach, he was none too fond of spending all that much time in the sun.
